Very fun but it eats batteries, 2008-07-01
This turned out to be an excellent physical therapy toy for my daughter. She has Down Syndrome and it not only is helping reinforce math and language skills, it is also helping her with physical therapy. She now is much better on her "real" bike. Watch out, however, this product eats batteries.

Fisher-Price/Duracell Conspiracy, 2008-06-17
My son loves this game!
Duracell loves this game!
Energizer loves this game!
Seriously - no power adaptor for the wall? What is Fisher-Price thinking? They must earn a buck every time Duracell or Energizer sells four D batteries.
Check out that popular web auction site that rhymes with me-day and search for smart cycle power adaptor. Some enterprising individual actually made one that inserts directly into the battery compartment. And no - it's not me. I haven't bought it yet, but I plan to as soon as possible!

Great purchase!, 2008-06-13
A friend of mine has this toy and my children love to play on it at their house. I couldn't find it in local stores but did find it nicely priced at Amazon.com. Free shipping was a plus and it arrived quickly. Assembly was pretty quick. My husband was skeptical, but changed his mind when he saw our 2 boys, 7 and 5, furiously riding on it, laughing and helping each other play. They can change game cartridges themselves. As a registered dietian, I am always looking for quality toys that help kids spend some energy. This one fits the bill! The only con is that the games available for use with this toy are aged 3-6. My 7 year old will only be able to use this toy for a short while. Still, this toy is getting used daily, so I feel I will get my money's worth.

My little guy got this for his 4th birthday and lvoes it! His sister is 6 and she has done well with it also. It is durable and well worth the money. It's been nice to see him doing something besides lumped in a chair watching tv!

it's an ok toy, 2008-04-11
Fisher-Price Smart Cycle
My son got this toy for christmas. The first few days it worked great but then it started shuting of and some times would not even turn on. It seems like the wire connection was not working. Also it only takes batteries which should be a BIG NO NO in kids toys. All the toy makers should know by now that you have to have a plug addapter. who wants to go through all those batteries. If your child forgets to turn it off ( which most will) then the batteries don't last but a few times. It a big flaw. They could have done a much better job in the design overall.
